The hillock came live
Stream rich in water and life
Awesome, inspiring.

*******************

Tears well up in eyes
Rivulets speed in hurry
Kissing blushing cheeks

*******************

Although small and thin
Full of life and love within
Quenches thirst of thirsty

*******************

With sweltering heat
Sweat rivulets down charred back
Skin leak, exhausting.

*******************

Rough, rich, green grassland
Home to European moth
Brown with white on green

THEME- ‘GRASS’

Lush carpet of green
Shielding earth from scorching heat
Home to grasshoppers.

*********

Mowing down the lawn
Green tufts plenty fall apart
Nature’s hair cut short.

*********

Bunch of devil grass
Sesame, rice and flowers
Rites for departed.

*********

Grassy green stretches
Home to graminivores
Nature at her best.

Gushing down in hast
Caressed by grass on both cheeks
Feeling lighthearted.

*********

The pitch was perfect
Ah! my day the bowler thought
Over- confidence;

*********

Playing from the rough
The golfer knew it was tough
Yet, despair he naught.

*********

Bright kids, alert eyes
Waiting, watching day and night
Grassed on the corrupt.

*********

Accolades, benefits
The bosses reaped aplenty
Grass root forgotten.

Standing tall among the grass
Loved and respected.

Search for inner peace
Made him addicted to grass
Prey to wrong belief.
